Darren Phelan, RSA ADI, is dedicated to all things related to driving and to teaching others the skills he knows on the road. Prior to becoming an ADI he worked for many years in a large vehicle workshop gaining invaluable knowledge from vehicle management to general operation to vehicle mechanics, and has years of experience driving some of the largest vehicles on our roads today.

His love of all-things driving led him to leave a 20-year career dealing with management and clients to become a driving instructor where, over the years, he has consistently demonstrated that his commitment to excellence in driving instruction is not only a profession but a passion.

He has furthered his love of driving by undertaking training and testing in other driving licence categories. He holds licenses including Category B-Cars, C-Rigid Trucks, and CE-Articulated Truck.

He is also a qualified RSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) in various driver license categories and the holder of a Fetac level 6 Qualification in driver training and development. He also holds a QQI level 6 award in Training Delivery and Evaluation and gained a Transport Management Certificate in Haulage through the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Ireland.
