What happens on the day of my test

Arriving at the test centre at least 15 minutes before your test is due to start, you will be called by your by the examiner that will accompany you on your test. They will lead you to their desk in a friendly manner taking into account that you’ll be nervous. Once there they will ask you for your learner permit and take down the drivers number (no learners permit, no test). You’ll then be asked to sign a declaration to say the vehicle your using is road worthy and insured for the purpose of a driving test.

The tester will then start the theory section of the test with road signs and questions on the rules of the road, once this is completed the tester will ask you to accompany them to your vehicle, there they may go through under bonnet checks and will ask you show me tell me questions such as wipers, fog lights, dipped fog lights or any control in the vehicle.

If lessons are done with Darren all this will be explained in more detail, Darren will accompany the applicant if they are hiring the school car for the purpose of the test, Darren can also accompany the applicant if they are using their own car for the test. The applicant will be given the result of their test back at the testers desk.
